The Evolution of an Indie-Folk Titan

Hozier’s discography is a masterclass in profound storytelling and grand, cinematic production. Never one to rush his creative process, every physical release serves as a meticulously crafted sonic world, tackling themes of love, systemic injustice, and mortality with poetic brilliance.

Whether you are seeking out the blues-drenched roots of his debut or securing the physical pressing of his ambitious modern concept albums, our Universal Music storefront features the essential milestones of his legendary catalog:

• Hozier (2014): The breathtaking, self-titled global breakthrough. This timeless record introduced the world to his deep, bluesy sound, anchored by the inescapable, Grammy-nominated anthem "Take Me to Church," alongside enduring fan favorites like "Cherry Wine," "Work Song," and "From Eden." (Look out for the highly sought-after 10th Anniversary Opaque Custard vinyl reissues!)

• Wasteland, Baby! (2019): A grand, apocalyptic, and deeply romantic sophomore triumph. Debuting at Number 1 on the Billboard 200, this album features bigger, more polished production while maintaining his raw emotional core on massive tracks like "Movement," "Nina Cried Power," and "Almost (Sweet Music)."

• Unreal Unearth (2023): His staggering, critically acclaimed concept album. Loosely inspired by Dante’s Inferno, this darker, more experimental record traverses the nine circles of hell through soaring ballads and fuzzy, rock-driven stomps, featuring highlights like "Francesca" and "Eat Your Young."

• Unreal Unearth: Unending (2024): The ultimate deluxe expansion. This massive project concludes the Unreal Unearth era by gathering tracks from the Unheard, Unaired, and Eat Your Young EPs. Pressed on stunning "Tooth White" wax, this 3LP set features his massive, chart-topping hit "Too Sweet" on vinyl for the first time, alongside the haunting new track "Hymn To Virgil."

Why Collect Hozier on Vinyl?

Hozier’s music demands the physical medium. His production constantly balances delicate, whisper-close acoustic warmth with massive, room-shaking cinematic scale. His tracks are frequently layered with rich choir backing vocals, vintage organ swells, and intricate finger-picked guitar lines.

Digital streaming compression often flattens the vast, dynamic soundstage required for these complex arrangements. On vinyl, the natural analog warmth perfectly rounds out the deep, resonating low end of his blues-driven basslines and gives the crashing gospel percussion true physical weight. Most importantly, the uncompressed format provides his extraordinary, soul-stirring voice with an incredibly intimate, "in-the-room" presence.

Our official Universal Music/Island Records storefront offers meticulously pressed vinyl, including audiophile-grade 180g heavyweight records and highly coveted exclusive colored variants—from "Raw Ochre" to translucent oranges and anniversary editions. Packaged in premium gatefold and trifold jackets that showcase his beautiful, conceptual album artwork, these LPs are essential, tactile centerpieces for any serious modern folk or alternative rock collection.
